Yes, I'm talking about PCOS and endometriosis.
Globally, up to 70% of women with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) do not know they have this condition. I see a similar story with endometriosis in clinic.
What they do know, however, is the symptoms; excess facial hair, body hair, hair thinning, acne, weight challenges — all common in PCOS. Painful periods, pain during sex, heavy bleeding, bloating, lower back and leg pain — often seen in endometriosis. Then there are irregular periods, fertility troubles and mood changes that are regularly noted across both these conditions.
These are the foods I recommend those with PCOS, endometriosis — and, quite frankly, all menstruating women — should be eating."
